Well, it's time to say goodbye to the "Who Is Stanton Holmes?" Blog, as I have officially begun work on the new blog using the good ol' WordPress.

Hard Bodies

Team Hardbodies finished the L.A. Marathon in 4 hours, 18 minutes or so (that was Rich's time, anyhow) sporting my dude that I made for them. Excellent work gents. Here's some shots from the after party at Cabo Cantina.

10 Minute Challenge

Not really a challenge to anyone else but myself. I was sitting here pounding through a hefty Jack & Coke, about to go to bed when I felt somewhat unsatisfied. All I did tonight was a bunch of business, nothing creative, so I decided I'd give myself 10 minutes to throw something down... huh.

Pint?

I've been getting some work done tonight and I've been craving a pint. Didn't really feel much like getting out of my pj's (which I put on immediately after I got home), so I really didn't think it would happen..

So, I started working on a little illustration.. about a pint. Well, lo and behold, I get a call from my good friend, Ms. Framke looking to go grab a drink.

Excellent. Illustration stops and ends. Here it is.

I'm on the advisory board for a choral group in Long Beach called the Long Beach Camerata Singers and occasionally I do design work for them. I'm posing this pre-client approval, but I think it'll be ok. I wonder what they'll think.. Huh. I dig it, so there.

Something Random

Got a bunch of work done tonight, so I figured I owed it to myself to do SOMETHING.. Lines, lines, and more lines. And this is the result.. hah! :)

Traveling from city to the prarie land...

Been working a lot with the Young Americans lately. Growing into a brand a look can be fun.. challenging. Eh. So, since I'm hot on the heels of a post yesterday, I figured why not keep the momentum going. It'll make Curtis and Steph nervous. :)

So, the YA's go out on tours during the year and they need a poster for the tour cast to send to schools before they get there.. Without no further ado, here's my first draft.

Latest Work

Alright, alright.. So I'm well aware that I suck at updating the blog.. I'm going to work harder to do it. I have the technology. I can rebuild it.

So, let's start with this. Just updated the website with two little pieces that I recently did.

The first is the CD sleeve that I did for my friends in Robots & Empires. A little self-titled diddy. Hope you enjoy it.



The next was a good one. The boys in Rally For One approached me after I did a t-shirt for them and told me they needed a graphic for their single that would be offered on iTunes, called "Bob Ya Head". They said "pigeon". This is the result.
